Description
The Grenadier-Regiment was a unit of the Prussian Army originating from 1814, and being formed by combining three grenadier battalions and was given the nickname after the Austrian emperor Franz I. In battle the grenadiers were the strongest and most robust soldiers, setting a clear example and leading assaults and stormings during sieges and battles.
