𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘀 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The United States Marine Corps over the course of the War of 1812 were a maritime security and amphibious landing force that were to serve on ships of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Revenue Marine. Throughout the war they had many duties. These included, acting as a boarding party during battle, defense of coastal positions, planning and executing amphibious assaults and conducting raiding on British ships. They proved their worth as a sub-branch of the U.S. Navy during this time period. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
