Description
The Senate and People of Pompeii Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus, known as Pompey the Great, is a powerful aristocrat of the late Roman Republic. Pompey had a complicated relations with Julius Caesar, and when Julia, his wife, and the daughter of Caesar, died during childbirth, relations between Caesar and Pompey would completely fall apart. Pompey holds great power, and this political and military sway is vested in the city of Pompeii and much of central Italy. When the relations between Pompey and Caesar crumbled, and he subsequently fell from popularity in the senate, Pompey declared the Republic of Pompeii, independent from the Senate and People of Rome. The Pompeia Gens rules central Italy with total authority, but the conflict is not over. In the distance, beyond the mountains, you can hear the marching of Caesar’s army, challenging the authority of the Pompeian faction. Pompey calls for great legionaries, may victory come to The Senate and People of Pompeii!
