Jejudo church guard chapter Civil affairs/military --- **The Royal Enforcers** were a consecrated church-guarding division active during the Russian Civil War. Formed amid widespread looting and anti-clerical violence, they were tasked solely with the defense of churches, monasteries, relic vaults, and clergy. They answered only to the Jejudo’s ecclesiastical authority and operated outside all civil and military command. The Enforcers followed strict neutrality beyond sacred ground, but within it they held absolute authority. Assigned units remained at their posts indefinitely, acting as guards, wardens, and judges if required. Recruitment favored former imperial guards, veteran soldiers, and church-raised men known for discipline rather than zeal. Their dark, unmarked uniforms and permanent presence made them both feared and respected. Many units vanished after the war, some guarding empty churches for years. Their doctrine endured: sacred ground, once claimed, is never abandoned. —
