Description
During the Russo-Turkish war of 1806, a Turkic rebellion sparked in Crimea with the support of the Ottoman Empire. After leading a successful rebellion in Crimea, Şahin Giray II, son of Şahin Giray I, proclaimed himself Khan of Crimea. With the recreation of the Crimean Khanate, they would have been reincorporated into the Ottoman Empire as a vassal state after the Russo-Turkish War of 1806-1812.
