No one would dare line up these veterans of the era. The Guard was formed out of Napoleons veterans, who by 1806 have served with Napoleon for at least a decade. Some even are formed out of the ranks that started in Napoleon's first campaign in Italy. Now they are deployed to the fields of Jena where a battle with the Prussians is soon to begin.
