ElGHTH INFANTRY REGlMENT #17335470
Description
--{THE 8TH CONNECTICUT VOLUNTEER INFANTRY REGIMENT}-- --{REGIMENTAL HISTORY}-- The 8th Connecticut was one of the longest serving regiments in the Civil War. It served from September 186I to December 12, 1865. It served longer than all but two Connecticut Regiments in the Civil War. It participated in several major campaigns in the east, spending the entirety of the war in the Eastern Theatre. It spent the majority of the war in the Gett y Division. However, it first started in Parke's Brigade of Ambrose Burnside's 9th Corp. It served in nearly every major battle of the Eastern Theatre. --{WHO ARE WE}-- We are a group with the express goal of joining the Bellum Iurium Civil War Community. The Union's regiments are filled with relatively inexperienced officers who do not know how to manage their men during battle. We will show them how it's done. We have several experienced officers within our ranks, and we will carry the day, finally bringing the Union the victory it needs.
