─────────| THE IMPERIAL MILITARY |───────── The Imperial Military represents the combined armed forces of the HeIghаst Empire. During the days of the HeIghаn Corporation's early colonization and later Administration of the Alpha Centauri System, there was no proper Army, beyond some planetary defense militias, which led to the defeat of the colonials by Earth's ISA forces during the First Extrasolar War. When Scolar Zajek rose to power in the 2340s, he dramatically increased the size of the HeIghаst military, as well as spearheading technological innovation for the purposes of warfare. This proved profitable, when in 2359, the HeIghаst Army toppled the ISA government on Vekta. During the warlord era following the death of Scolar Zajek, the army was divided among various Generals, pretender Autarchs and most notably, a large section of forces loyal to Zajek's descendants. The Empire was eventually reunified by Oprisch Zajek and Corvinok Zajek, and with it the army.
