𝐈𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐂 𝐃𝐀𝐖𝐀 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐘 Hizb aI Dawa al Islami '𝟕𝟗-'𝟗𝟏 The Islamic Dawa Party is a Shia Islamist political party in Iraq, notable for its many failed attempts at replacing the Sunni-dominated Ba'ath Party with a Shia Islamic government friendly to Iran. In 1991, after the defeat of Iraq in the Gulf War, the party, alongside other Shia groups, began a failed attempt to oust the Ba'ath from power.
