The Galactic Empire, also known as the First Galactic Empire, was the ruling interstellar state of the Galaxy. Technologically advanced and decades old, the Empire was founded under the absolute rule of the two most powerful Sith of their time, known as Darth Sidious and Darth Vader, whose will was carried out by the Imperial Government and Imperial Military. The Empire was dedicated to imposing the Emperor’s vision of "order" and “peace” upon the Galaxy, i.e. bringing all other civilizations under its control.
