Description
The Grenadier Guards is an infantry regiment of the British Army. Its lineage dates back to 1656 when Lord Wentxworth's Regiment was formed in Bruges to protect the exiled King Charles II. In 1665, this regiment merged with John Russell's Regiment of Guards to form the present-day regiment known as the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards.
