Description
The Iulii Euryclii trace their rise to Eurycles of Sparta, a nobleman of ancient Hellenic blood, descended from Heracles himself. During the campaigns of Imperator Gaius Julius Caesar, Eurycles offered his family's elite Spartan guard and naval fleet in service of Caesar’s conquest of the East. Impressed by his discipline, eloquence, and loyalty, Caesar personally adopted Eurycles and his line into the Gens Julia, granting them the nomen “Iulius” and the honorary cognomen “Eurycles”, founding the Branch of Iulius Eurycles. One of the most prominent Greco-Roman families, they strive to keeping order and reviving Rome’s martial virtues in Greece.
