𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬☭▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ In 1944, the Soviet Union declared war on the Empire of Japan, launching a surprise offensive attack. By 1945, the Empire of Japan formally surrendered to the Soviet Union. With the Soviet occupation of Japan complete, a swift campaign to dismantle the imperial state was enacted. The Japanese Communist Party, which was previously outlawed and repressed, was quickly installed into power by the Soviets.
