HMHS Britannic was built by ####### # ##### 1911-1915 and was intended to serve the White Star Line as RMS Britannic together with RMS Olympic and RMS Titanic. She struck a german mine in the Kea Channel and sank in 55 minutes, killing 30 people. Her loss was the largest material loss of World war 1 and she is still the world's largest passenger ship on the sea floor. In later years, Britannic (and even more so the Olympic) has been mostly overshadowed by her infamous sister, the RMS Titanic. I wish to change that with this group! Because of the large amount of extra lifeboats added after the Titanic collision, most of the people killed in the sinking died because of the still-rotating screws sucking the lifeboats in and smashing a couple of them to pieces. Britannic was to pick up wounded soldiers and personell at the island of Lemnos, but never reached it. Her loss was compensated post-war with the german-built RMS Majestic.
