Description
Wodanaz was the great god of the Germanic tribes — the bringer of victory and the judge of all battles. It was Wodanaz who decided who triumphed and who fell, and those who died in combat were said to join his mighty army. He carried a legendary spear, and warriors who fought with great spears did so in his honor. Before battle, Germanic fighters would call upon the gods, pressing their shields to their mouths to make their war cries thunder across the field and strike fear into their enemies.
