Chorągiew Konna Gidów #238210509
Description
Guides du Prince Poniatowski refers to the elite cavalry guides attached to the staff of Prince Józef Poniatowski during the Napoleonic Wars. These soldiers served as escorts, messengers, scouts, and personal guards, helping maintain communication and security for the prince and his headquarters. They became known for their distinctive uniforms and their loyalty during the campaigns of 1808–1814, when Poniatowski commanded Polish forces allied with Napoleon. Historical studies and uniform plates often highlight them as one of the most recognizable Polish military formations of the Napoleonic era.
