Description
The Independent Special-Purpose Motorized Rifle Division is an MVD (Internal Troops) formation designated to Moscow and the surrounding area meant to act as a quick reaction and capital defense force. Unlike other MVD formations, the OMSDON counts with the full breadth of equipment and support of a conventional Soviet Army Motor Rifle Division as well as highly trained, motivated and politically reliable troops. Notably, the Division is the birthplace of the URSN/6th OSNAZ Detatchment, which later came to be known as "Vityaz".
