It's main duties are Counter Terrorism, Search and rescue, Intel gathering, etc... To become a Seal Operator, one would have to attend BUD/S-Basic Under Water Demolition Seals training and successfully graduate with a 90% Average. The original drop-out rate in the Navy Seals is 75% and sometimes goes up to 90%. This being mostly because BUD/S is a strictly mentally and physically tough training, giving it the title of toughest Military training in the world. The fact that SEAL stands for Sea, Air and Land means that conditions would vary in operations when you are a SEAL Operator, but fortunately enough, Seals are already prepared for that in BUD/S.
