Description
The Dutch Caribbean, also known as the West Indies, is a region in North America consisting of the tropical islands under the sovereignty of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. These territories include Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius, and Sint Maarten. The King of the Netherlands is recognized as the Monarch of the Dutch Caribbean. Aruba, Curacao, and Sint Maarten are constituent countries within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, while Bonaire, Saba, and Sint Eustatius are special municipalities of the Netherlands.
