Description
Mario is a fictional character who exists in the Mario video game franchise, created and owned by Nintendo. Between 2014 and 2019, we ran an experimental project on Roblox that brought Mario and his friends to life as interactive bots. Using Roblox’s built-in systems combined with custom Lua scripts, DataStores for memory, and some external AI tools, we created characters that could chat with players in real time. They had distinct personalities, persistent memories of past interactions, and in-game abilities. A small group of us actively maintained and supervised the bots, adding new dialogue and fixing issues as needed. It was one of the early attempts on Roblox at making characters feel more alive and conversational before AI became mainstream. We keep this page up to remember those early creative experiments. This project was never affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Nintendo in any way. All characters are registered trademarks of their original owners.
