𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐘 𝐜. 𝟏𝟗𝟔𝟓 - 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 The Filipino Nationalists in North Borneo During the Operation Merdeka was a covert 1967 military plan initiated by Philippine President to infiltrate and annex North Borneo as their claimed "Historical lands" to the Philippines. The operation failed after recruited Moro fighters were killed in the 1968 Jabidah incident, causing scandal and starting armed insurgency with the help from the Japanese Collaborators in the Southern Philippines against the South African-Sarawak soils.
