[THIS GROUP IS INVITE ONLY] The Department was formed in 1957 as a "Special Police" force made up of 20 volunteers. In 1960, the first two full-time police officers were hired. Since that time, The Hilliard Division of Police has grown with the City to an agency comprised of sixty-six individuals who proudly serve the residents, businesses and visitors of the City of Hilliard and Norwich Township. Like many other agencies in Franklin County, we have grown over the last ten years due to an ever-increasing and diverse population. We have a strong sense of community pride and strive to maintain close inter-personal relationships with our residents and business partners. These relationships are instrumental in making Hilliard a wonderful community in which to work and live.
