The seven pointed star above the Scarab represents Seshat, Patron of Scribes. She is the one who measures, records, and surveys with divine providence and skill. She is our knowledge. The Scarab represents Khepri, god of the morning sun. As he comes from the underworld upon his chariot, his tireless effort brings the dawn. He is our devotion. When the Black Pharaoh came to the Middle Kingdom, the Scribes of Egypt vanished. To the people, the Scribes were erased. In truth, they lived on in secrecy, reborn, enlightened. They stepped into the shadows as the Black Pharaoh did, but they never truly left. The Scribes truly are the most intellectual and well-spoken of the Bentian Ecclesiastics they specialize in writing documents, preachings, and rituals.
