Chosen for their exceptional loyalty, discipline, and combat ability, Red Guards served as the Chancellor's personal bodyguards and defended important government locations on Coruscant. They were best known for their distinctive crimson armor, flowing red robes, and signature force pikes, which symbolized their prestigious role. Although they were often seen standing watch during official ceremonies, the Red Guard were highly trained warriors capable of responding to serious threats. Throughout the Clone Wars, they remained one of the Republic's most trusted protective units. Following the fall of the Republic, the organization was reorganized into the Emperor's Royal Guard under the Galactic Empire.
