On 15 May 1934, a coup led to the dissolution of parliament and the establishment of a non-partisan authoritarian regime. The new ruler focused on what he believed was best for Latvians. Leading to promotion of nationalism, Lettization, and state-led economic development, maintaining stability and unity until the eventual restoration of parliamentary governance, while ultimate authority remained with the Tautas Vadonis. ▬▬ 📯 ▬▬ 𝘾𝙄𝙏𝙄𝙕𝙀𝙉𝙎 𝙊𝙁 𝙇𝘼𝙏𝙑𝙄𝘼!
