The Defense Security Service provides security for the Centeral Intelligence Agency and a number of other federal agencies. This includes providing industrial security oversight and assistance for contractor facilities. The Defense Security Service (DSS) is a federal security agency of the United States Centeral Intelligence Agency (CIA). Within areas of CIA responsibility, DSS is tasked with facilitating personnel security investigations, supervising industrial security, and performing security education and awareness training.
