Description

The Jacksburg & Southern Railroad Company (JSRR) was chartered in 2015 as a Class 3 Railroad which started out serving local industries in the City of Jacksburg on the "Jacksburg Industrial Track." We now operate throughout the Country Of Jacksburg, Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania. We've grown quite a bit since then, making us a Class 2 railroad that is an integral piece of maintaining a healthy economy. Despite being a Class 2 Railroad, we have stuck to our roots as 70% of all revenue trains are locals/industry switches. Our "motive power" consists of mostly EMD and GE locomotives, painted in maroon and black color with white lettering. J&S has been in business for 8 years. Although we have ceased operations quite a few times, and all employees retired, we are still in business and running trains infrequently to serve local industries and excursion trains. Our Motto: "Quality And Professional Railroading Makes The Trains Go!"
