■ Exército Brasileiro – 1940's ■ No mês de agosto de 1942, após uma série de ataques a navios mercantes brasileiros por submarinos das forças do Eixo, o clamor popular tomou as ruas e praças, exigindo resposta firme. Assim, o governo brasileiro declarou guerra à Alemanha e à Itália, unindo-se aos Aliados no maior conflito da história moderna. Após intensas negociações e meses de preparação, em julho de 1944, o Brasil enviou sua força terrestre à Campanha da Itália: a Força Expedicionária Brasileira (FEB).
