Description
The 322nd took part in the Air Offensive over Normandy France, Southern France, Rhineland and even the Battle of the Bulge. They were awarded the Distinguished Unit Citation for what they did over France. They were based in England at an airfield called St Bury Edmunds. The 322nd Bombardment Group began combat over Europe in 1943 flying B-26 Marauders.
