Description
Clan Aegishjalmur is a viking clan built on the principles of honor and bravery in battle. Aegishjalmur (the symbol shown in the clan's sigil) translates to "Helm of Awe," and was believed to both defend its wearer in battle and to strike fear in enemies. A clan is different from a Jarldom in that a clan does not necessarily have its own territory: a clan is a roaming force. The driving force of this clan lies in crushing opposition in an attempt to eventually reach enlightenment in Valhalla. The clan welcomes all newcomers, but only through dedication to the ideals of Aegishjalmur can one gain rights. Those who initially join are not free men, and must prove their worth to gain status. Cowardice is seen as treasonous to Tyr, and fights that are fought in a treacherous manner will result in a trial and possible expulsion, regardless of status. Glory and honor are expected without exception. This group serves as an organized militia for Vastenland.
