In April 1st,1943 the 2nd ranger battalion was formed at Camp Forrest . They officially were activated in September 1943 and shipped to Great Britain where they prepared for Operation Overlord!They engaged in the following battles: D-Day and many more! the end of their campaign they had earned a Presidential Unit citation This is a battalion for the Ranger Assault Group.
