_________________________________ The First Bijeljina Light Infantry Brigade (Special Brigade Garde "Panthers") was one of the elite units of the Serbian Army. _________________________________ History Garda Panthers was established on 2 May 1992, and from 2 May 1992 to 01 July 1992, was called "National Guard Serbian Autonomous District (SAO) Semberija and Majevica". The unit was part of the East Bosnia Corps. She changed her name to "Panthers" in honor of the deceased Branko Pantelić ("Panther"). __________________________________ Bosnian War: Through the composition Garde Panteri some 2,000 members, of which over 100 were killed and 800 wounded. [4] Brigade commanders were Ljubisa Savic Mauzer and Branko Pantelić. _________________________________
