The Committee monitors various operations, experiments, and the handling of SCP objects to ensure that all actions align with ethical standards. It works to prevent inhumane or unethical practices, identifies security flaws in experiments, and takes necessary actions against ethical violations. Members of the Ethics Committee collaborate closely with other departments within the Foundation to uphold not only scientific achievements but also human dignity. In cases of severe ethical breaches, the Committee may enforce strict penalties. As one of the most secretive and pivotal roles within the Foundation, the Ethics Committee ensures the proper and humane functioning of the SCP Foundation.
