Description
The Street Intelligence Suppression Team (SIST) also referred to as; Street Intelligence Unit (SIU) was established after the disbandment of all other investigation entities under Executive Order 61802. The scope of responsibilities of the unit include but is not limited to; the surveillance and suppression of prominent gang members/leaders, high-profile/prominent criminal actors, and other persons of interest that pose a significant threat to public safety and order. Additionally, the unit is entrusted with ensuring new members of the department are thoroughly vetted and are fit to serve as a department member. This unit's main goal is to assist and inform members of the Field Operations Bureau of bad actors to ensure these actors do not have an upper hand in their objectives to disrupt public order.
