The Azeri Mafia (Azərbaycan Xadim Silahlı Qüvvələri) is one of the oldest crime groups in the world, right before the Italians and Russians. Many operated in Moscow, but one man decided to expand, he chose the newly found Chicago. Seeing that they were small and an easy target to handle. The leader, Israfil-Nübar Üzeyirlu and his band of thugs and ex-militant's settled into Chicago, they are small, yet expanding. They are a Military Mafia of sorts, seeing Military ranks and titles being more beneficial. They mainly left due to the rise of the Azerbaijani Soviet Socialist Republic, stationed in the Soviet Union and mainly supported different ideals, and mainly wanted to leave in general. They are mainly based in Chicago. This is due to large-scale immigration of Azerbaijanis to the United States. The most important activity of Azerbaijani gangs was arms trafficking, fraud and armed robbery.
