Buddhist Theocracy of Greater Tibet "Roof of the World" Greater Tibet is the geographic statement of the claimed homeland by the Tibetan administration. A term often used is Greater Tibet, which covers Tibet, the whole of Qinghai province, western parts of Sichuan, areas of Yunnan and a corner of Gansu. These regions in Tibetan are called U-Tsang, Amdo and Kham which form Greater Tibet. Historically, these regions have always been under the Tibetan government until the incorporation of Tibet into the PRC, this led to the division and the establishment of the TAR. Excluding China, Greater Tibet also extends, not much, into the Himalayas of Bhutan, Nepal and India (or Pakistan on whoever owns Kashmir).
