Description

"Constables shall possess the same qualifications as Sheriffs, and their jurisdictions shall be coextensive with the counties in which they reside." The powers of a constable include serving summonses, subpoenas, attachments, notices, rules and orders of the court in all criminal, penal and civil cases. As well, the primary function is to issue tickets and infractions on behalf of the minor courts.
