The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment)Veteri Frondescit Honore Its Ancient Honour is Evergreen Welcome to our regiment, we are an independent late victorian era regiment (1870-1902). Born out of Pax Britannia. Having ventured into the Second World War, we are now back to where we began and where feels most comfortable. The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment) traces its origins back to 1572 making it one of the oldest regiments in the British army. They took part in more or less every major (and not so major) campaign, battle and intervention of the British army until their eventual amalgamation in 1961. The regiment still exists to this day as part of the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment. It should be noted that the Buffs are and never were anything to do with Wales, the same is true for PWRR.
