Description

Created in 1990, the Russian MVD holds Vityaz, ODON, and Internal Troops. These units were assigned specifically counter-terrorism duties, civil unrest, prison rebellions, and mutinies of regular army units. ODON - The Independent Operational Purpose Divsion, otherwise known as Dzerzhinsky Division, is a rapid deployment division of Internal Troops. ODON itself contains many divisions within itself, including the 604th Special Purpose Center, the 2nd Operational Duties Regiment, and so on. 604th Special Purpose Center - Another rapid deployment paramilitary group working under ODON, this group was made after the combination of the Vityaz and Rus special forces groups. The OSN units chosen in this group are operating gendarmerie teams operating in the regions of Chechnya and beyond.
