Description
The Brighton Police Service (BPS) was established in 2026 when the Municipality of Brighton terminated its policing agreement with the provincial government. A modern, professional and locally focused police service proudly serves the people today. BPS is designated as the municipality's police service, providing its services within the boundaries of the municipality. The service is headed by the Chief of Police, who is selected and held accountable by the Brighton Police Services Board. BPS members strive to provide the best service to the community, by maintaining a visible presence, completing proactive patrols and responding to calls for service in timely manners. Not to be confused with any real life police service.
