It also still holds the title of being the richest company in the world ever existed with a networth of 8 billion dollars. During the 1780s, the Company was known for establishing its colonies in Malaya, Batavia (Modern-day Jakarta) and many others around the Borneo island prior to the arrival of the British East India Company. As tin resources already contributing to the VOC's funding, the company then intended to continue trading with Phuket and other tin mining establishments around Takua Pa and Thalang, that was until the Burmese Attack prevailed and the Company sent company soldiers as a reinforcing regiment to defend it. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Batavia, Dutch East Indies
