The Port Authority of Mayflower & Quanahassit Police Department was unofficially established in June of 1928 after a group of 10 watchmen were selected by the Port Authority of Mayflower & Quanahassit to police the Lander City Port; now known as the Lander City Marine Terminal after a series of cargo thefts.
