Special Reconnaissance Regiment (SRR) The SRR is a specialist covert surveillance and intelligence-gathering unit within UK Special Forces (UKSF), working alongside the SAS and SBS. Formed in 2005, drawing on the legacy of 14 Intelligence Company, the SRR specializes in close target reconnaissance, human intelligence, and low-visibility operations — often operating undercover rather than through direct assault.
