Description
It is rumoured within the ranks of the Inquisition that few know of their origins. Few have gazed in the ethereal plane between our dimension and survived the horror they saw. Those Astartes who were felled by the minions of the Dark Gods, whose souls upon death burned with a ravenous hatred for Chaos are plucked by the Emperor's own hand. These chosen few are not taken to the Emperor's side to await the final battle but, are reforged in the perpetual pain of the Emperor. The souls of these honoured Astartes are torn apart by the Emperors agonised screams and burned by his holy fire. All that made these brave men good is torn asunder from their souls to be replaced with Adamantine faith and an insatiable hatred for Chaos. Out of the Emperor's furnace they march in perfect unison clad in black armour as unyielding and impenetrable as their faith and engulfed in the fires of hatred, they go to annihilate the primordial enemy.
