The UN Peacekeeping Force is an organ of the United Nations under the Department for Peacekeeping Operations. PCRS LEVEL: 1 The UNPK can be called upon by the UNSC to; - Protect civilians - Preserve and maintain peace - Assist in the stabilisation of a region or conflict - Support global, regional and local policing operations - Counter global threats & restore international peace and security - Monitor disputed borders and territories - Monitor raids to prevent cheating or abuse - Provide security across a conflict zone - Assist in-country military & police personnel with training and support - Assist in and oversee the implementation of treaties and agreements - Provide a rapid reaction force to international crises The UNPK only deploys to regions in which it has the consent of all parties involved, as well as the authorisation and mandate of the UN Security Council.
