𝐇Æ𝐑𝐄𝐍 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Royal Danish Army during the Victorian era underwent significant changes and modernization. Prior to this period, the Danish military was largely ineffective and outdated, relying on a system of conscription that was poorly organized and inadequately trained. Under the leadership of King Frederick VII, who reigned from 1848 to 1863, efforts were made to modernize the army. In 1851, a new law was passed that established a more organized system of conscription, and efforts were made to improve the training of soldiers. The army was also equipped with more modern weapons and technology, including the introduction of the breech-loading rifle in 1867.
