𝗦Ø𝗩Æ𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗧 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ During the Victorian era, the Danish Navy, like many other navies around the world, underwent significant changes and modernizations. At the beginning of the era, the Danish Navy was relatively small and outdated, with a focus on coastal defense and trade protection. However, in the 1860s, the navy underwent significant reforms and modernizations, including the introduction of steam-powered warships and rifled guns. The Danish Navy played a significant role in the Second Schleswig War (1864), providing naval support to the Danish army in the defense of the Jutland peninsula. Despite being outnumbered and outgunned, the Danish Navy managed to hold off the larger Prussian and Austrian navies and prevent them from landing troops on the Danish coast.
