{ THE FEDERATED STATES OF SCORNIA } Pax per bellum The Scornian Confederacy emerged in 1503 as a loose alliance of provinces united by conquest, eventually subduing nearly all of Eferica. Its rule was later dismantled by the New Chalkein Empire during the 1600s and 1700s, forcing Scornian remnants into exile. In 1787, veterans and loyalists led the War of Sovereignty against Chalkein rule, with figures such as George Washintonne, Thomas Jeffersun, and John Addams restoring Scornian independence on July 4th. From 1787 to 1849, Scornia developed into a federalist republic emphasizing regional independence and disciplined strength. The 1849 Gold Rush drove settlers into the western territories, rapidly expanding the population and leading to the construction of the Great Scornian Rail.
