Kokang Self-Defense Force 果敢抗日自衛隊 ◄★► ────────────────────────── ◄★► 📜 | Formed: 8/10/2026 📜 | Era: WWII 📜 | Community: N/A ◄★► ────────────────────────── ◄★► The Kokang Self-Defense Force was a local armed formation from the Kokang region of northern Shan State during the turbulent years of the Second World War. Drawn largely from Kokang’s ethnic Chinese population led by it's Saopha Yang Wenbing, its fighters were organized to ddefend Kokang from Japanese encroachment and fighting along the Burma–China frontier. Operating in rugged mountainous terrain, the force relied heavily on local knowledge and community networks.
