Description
𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞'𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲 During its existence, the National People's Army was the dominant military force in East Germany. Its primary role was to defend the country against potential Western aggression and maintain the communist government's grip on power. The NPA was also responsible for providing security to the ruling government and suppressing any internal dissent. Despite being well-equipped and trained, the NPA was never involved in any significant military action outside its own borders, as East Germany was essentially a Soviet satellite state.
